Yesterday,we went to Jurong Hill for prawn fishing. We rented the rod for three hours as it was cheaper than to rent for 1hr or 2hrs.

My dad ordered some satays, a mixture of chicken and mutton.  The mutton satay was delicious. We ate friend rice, satay, chicken, and tofu for dinner. My cousin caught ten while I caught only three altogether have 13.Too bad,at least better than nothing. As time passed,it is time to returned the rod to the owner. We took out the prawns out of the net which was in the pond.We washed it and coated it with salt, then we barbecued it.You could smell the smell of the BBQ prawns. After it was ready to be eaten,we took it out of the BBQ grill and put it on a aluminum foil.My mom and my cousin help us to peeled the hard and hot shell of the BBQ prawns.I ate three medium size prawns and it taste yummy.I took one medium size prawn and gaze to my brother.Too bad he doesn't want it so I put it back where it came from.it was fun.:)

After singing the national enthem this morning, we went to the hall for a Talk on smoking called Too tough to puff.  When the talk finished, we were divided into two groups, A and B.  We belonged to the A group and we played the first game called rugby.  It was kind of tiring as we had to keep running and passing the ball many times.  Then we played other games until recess.

We had lots of fun today.I wonder what interesting activites my friend and I will play tomorrow!

triceratops

A herbivorous dinosaur, inhabiting the Earth around 60-65 million years ago, the Triceratops, lived in today's North America. It belongs to a group of dinosaurs known as Ceratopsia. These dinosaurs lived in North America and Asia during the Cretaceous Period. The Tyrannosaurus and the Triceratops were the biggest dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous period. The Tyrannosaurus often preyed on the Triceratops.
Triceratops were one of the largest among all dinosaurs. The length of its body varied from seven to nine meters and the height was of around 3 meters. Their body weight was in between six to twelve tons.
Triceratops had a strong built body with four limbs. The fore limbs were comparatively shorter and had five hooves while the rear limbs had four hooves.

brachiosaurus

When it stood, it had a rather giraffe-like stance with its long neck held at an angle of forty-five degrees, at the end of which was a relatively small head. It had large nasal opening suggesting a sharp sense of smell. The brachiosaurus was a herbivore that stood around 40 feet tall at the highest point, was 85 feet long and weighed upto 80 tonnes. With its long neck and fore legs it had an astounding reach with the ability to access the highest trees from which it consumed vast amounts of vegetation off the tops. It had long spatulate teeth that enabled it to masticate tougher plant food than other sauropods of the period. Its short stumpy tail and relatively short hind legs would have placed its centre of gravity too far forward to have allowed the animal to rear up on its hind legs. So paleontologists conclude the animal walked on all fours.

The Brachiosaurus lived from 165 to 145 million years ago during the Jurassic period, and is believed to have been native to the east coast of Africa, more especially Tanzania where complete skeletons were found. Some fossil evidence has also been unearthed in North America, Europe and some parts of Asia but these are restricted to a few teeth or the odd limb

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex is cool!!!!!
The Tyrannosaurus or T. Rex existed in the late cretaceous period some 65 million years ago. A carnivorous dinosaur and an extremely popular icon in todays movie culture this dinosaur is probably one of the most talked and read about dinosaurs ever to have existed. With some amazing scenes in both Jurassic Park and the recent King Kong movie it’s no wonder he’s so popular.
The name Tyrannosaurus Rex means ‘Tyrant Lizard King’ which stems from the Greek word ‘tyranno’ meaning tyrant, ’saurus’ meaning lizard and ‘rex’ meaning king. The grand name comes directly from the fact that the T. Rex was most probably one of the largest and most terrifying carnivores of its time.

At over 20 ft tall, 40 ft long and weighing up to 8 tonnes the Tyrannosaurus was longer than the width of a tennis court, heavier than an african bull elephant and tall enough to look into an upstairs window. It’s massive legs bore its weight on three large, bird like clawed toes, whilst its arms which despite being extremely short were strong and powerful with 2 clawed digits.

One feature that stood out in all Tyrannosaurids was the size of their skull. In simple words it was huge and at 5ft long the skull was almost half as long as the backbone between the hips and the head. The head was basically the size of a small car and considered huge even for dinosaurs.
To support such a large head the T. Rex had an extremely short but muscular neck giving it extra strength and allowing it to stabilise the head as it moved. Obviously a huge skull meant plenty of room for large teeth which were so hard that they were known to penetrate even bone.

stegesaurus

stegesaurus,is  awesome
The four-ton Stegosaurus was equipped with an unusually small brain, only about the size of a dog's. It was once proposed that this none-too-bright herbivore had supplementary grey matter located in its hip region, but paleontologists quickly soured on this "brain in the butt" theory.

The name Stegosaurus means "roofed lizard," reflecting the belief of 19th-century paleontologists that this dinosaur's plates lay flat along its back. Various reconstructions have been offered since then, the most convincing of which has the plates alternating in parallel rows (and facing pointy side up) along Stegosaurus' spine.
